The year 2023 started with Genequip meeting with administrators of the New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI), Leonora Technical and Vocational Training Centre and the Government Technical Institute (GTI), Georgetown. At the various meetings, Genequip discussed several potential areas of partnership in efforts to enhance its existing relationship with these technical institutes. Such an initiative at the start of the year demonstrates the significance of enhancing such partnerships to Genequip’s corporate vision and culture.

Background

Genequip has been in partnership with the Government Technical Institute for over ten (10) years, offering tools and equipment, lectures, and student attachments and internship programs. Genequip is also proud to pronounce that many of its technical staff ranks came from GTI and have climbed the corporate ladder to esteemed positions and success. The most current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signaling the continued partnership between the entities, was signed in 2021 and is currently in effect.

Corporate Culture

Over the years, in its effort to fulfil its corporate social responsibility, Genequip has widened its scope of local investment by seeking partnerships with technical institutes throughout the country, most recently with the New Amsterdam Technical Institute and Leonora Technical and Vocational Training Centre. In doing so, Genequip has continued to demonstrate its commitment to nurturing technical and vocational education and providing career opportunities for the development of youth and talent from all walks of life and origins. Partnering with the technical institutes all across the nation illustrate Genequip’s investment in Guyana’s people from across all regions and recognizes that fostering the success of these persons, will inevitably lead to the success of the company as a whole.

In Conclusion …

It is hoped that these institutes will avail itself of the opportunities and time that Genequip has to offer as there can only be mutually beneficial results of such a partnership.
